Clarence H. Ragan, 68, of 509 S.E. Hartford Ave. died of bone cancer Friday at Hospice Kavanagh House, 900 56th St. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial at Montpelier Cemetery.

Mr. Ragan was born in Lanes Prairie, Mo., and moved to Des Moines in 1947. He was a retired construction laborer and a member of Southside Assembly of God Church and Construction Laborers union.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Merle, Frank and Ronald, and a daughter, Patricia Douglas, all of Des Moines; a sister, Mildred Poor of Rolla, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
