W. E. Gentry Rites Planned

Services for William E. Gentry, 73, of 2116 Searle St., who died Wednesday of pneumonia in a hospital at Clarinda, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Hamilton-Lilly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Winterset.

Mr. Gentry, who had been ill a year, was born in Winterset and lived in Des Moines 50 years. Before his illness, he worked 42 years as a deliveryman for Des Moines Ice and Fuel Co.

He was a member of the Christian Church and Local 90 of the Teamsters Union.

Surviving are his widow Minnie; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Roberts of Phoenix, Ariz., two sisters, Mrs. Clara Ellery of Des Moines and Mrs. Frances Osborn of Penn Hill, Idaho; six stepchildren, and several grandchildren.
