Ann Drennan Finck passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 19, 2017 after having reached the age of 98 on June 3rd. Prior to her ten year residence at the Seabury Life Care Community in Bloomfield, CT, Ann had lived in West Hartford with her beloved husband George, who passed away in 1992.

Ann was an active member of St. James's Episcopal Church and a longtime member of the P.E.O. philanthropic organization. Ann had been inducted at the age of 20 into P.E.O. in her hometown of Winterset, Iowa, into the same chapter as her mother.

The only child of Frank & Pearl Drennan, Ann attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa where she met George Finck. After their graduation and marriage, they moved to New York City and later resided in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Ann and George came to West Hartford in 1961 and lived on Claybar Drive, with the exception of a few years in Toronto, Canada. Ann and George traveled extensively, both for his business in the international refrigeration and heating business, and for their love of travel.

Ann's daughter, Judith Ann Finck, died in 2008, and Ann's son Thomas George Finck is married to Carole Crane Finck and resides in Vero Beach, Florida. Ann leaves her granddaughter, Jennifer Finck Cardinali, of Milan, Italy and her grandson Thomas Jadwin (Jad) Finck of San Francisco, CA, along with her three greatgrandchildren, Niccolo', Jacopo and Ginevra Cardinali of Milan, Italy.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. James's Episcopal Church, 1018 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford, CT at 11 am on Saturday, July 15th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ann and the very special members of her Chapter D in Connecticut to: P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education, co P.E.O. Executive Office, Treasurer's Dept., 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312. Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, West Hartford has care of arrangements.
