Services for Mrs. Bertha M. Somers, 83, of 2602 Fortieth St. will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at St. Charles.

Mrs. Somers died of diabetes Saturday at Calvin Manor, 4210 Hickman Road, after an illness of about two months.

Born in St. Charles, Mrs. Somers lived in Des Moines most of her life and was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Thompson of Des Moines and Mrs. Vivian Billmeier of Waukee; eight grand-children; 10 great-grand-children and two great-great-grandchildren.
