Winterset, IowaPhyllis Kathryn Williams, 85, of Winterset, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Winterset Care Center North.
Phyllis was born in Urbandale, Iowa on October 17, 1935 to Bertha (Reel) Trevillyan and Richard Trevillyan. She spent her childhood with her six brothers in West Des Moines, Barney and Lorimor, Iowa, and graduated from Lorimor High School in 1953.
On March 12, 1955 Phyllis married her high school sweetheart, Bob Williams, at the Lorimor United Methodist Church.
Phyllis and Bob were the parents of two children, David and Kimberly, and after raising her children she worked at Sears Catalog Store and Farmers and Merchants State Bank, both in Winterset.
Her wonderful smile lit up the whole room and she always had a positive outlook on life. She enjoyed traveling, her flowers and special family gatherings. Her greatest treasures were her family, which included Bob, David and Kimberly, and her granddaughters, Amanda and Angela.
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Bob; son, David; daughter, Kimberly; granddaughters Amanda and Angela; brother Delbert (wife, Jackie) Trevillyan; sister-in-law, Donna Trevillyan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Richard; and brothers, Richard, Raymond, Charles, Jerry and John.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Lorimor Cemetery in Lorimor with Rev. Dr. John Shaull officiating. Please follow social distancing guidelines. Face coverings are recommended. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Unity Point Hospice. Online condolences may be made to the family at caldwellparrish.com.
