Donald Joseph Crabb, 78, of Winterset, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Don was born October 31, 1941 to Elma Conzemius Crabb and John Howard Crabb in Sac City, Iowa.

He was united in marriage to Judy Lee (Kilmer) Crabb on April 3, 1964 in Winterset, Iowa. To this union, one son was born, Robert Wayne Crabb.

Don loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and soul. He served His Lord for many years as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and helping others on mission trips. His heart was a service heart to others. He was always available to give a helping hand to whomever was in need.

He enjoyed carpentry work, home improvement projects and he loved painting scenery pictures. He was very creative and artistic. He loved gathering with his family and playing cards for hours.

Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Judy of Winterset; son, Rob (Christine) of Afton; granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Brown (Hunter) of Mt. Ayr; sisters, Alice Willittees (Jim) of Sun Lakes, AZ, Doris Kay Dierenfeld, twin sister, of Urbandale, Mary Lilly of Ankeny, and Rosalee Norris (Roger) of Waukee; step-brother, Terry Girard (Vickie) of Sac City; brother in law, James H. Kilmer of Marshalltown, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; 3 brothers, Wayne Crabb (June) of Sac City, Lyle Crabb (Sharon) of Sac City, and Leon (Bud) Crabb (Joan) of Sac City.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home, Winterset Chapel. Memorial service will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place in the Winterset Cemetery. Live streaming of the memorial service will be available at caldwellparrish.com. Guests are asked to practice social distancing guidelines and wear masks if able.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family for a future memorial designation.
