John McGinnis Dies at Age 98

John W. McGinnis, 98, of Cumming died Friday at his home after an illness of eight months. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gallaway-McLaren’s Funeral Home, with burial at St. Charles Cemetery.

Mr. McGinnis, a former nursing home operator, was born in Warren County and was a member of Grace Methodist Church here.

Survivors include four sons, Paul of Montgomery, Ala., Fon and Rex, both of Birmingham, Ala., and John of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Jewel McCrea, of Cumming; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
