Tot Dies in Tub as Mother Takes Coffee to Father

Des Moines.—(AP)—Connie Sue Gish, 18-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Gish of Des Moines, drowned in a partly filled washtub, which had been left unattended.

Mrs. Gish told Polk county coroner, A. E. Shaw that she was doing some washing outside Sunday and stopped to take some coffee to her husband, who was working on the car.

Dr. Shaw said the child apparently was playing near the tub and tumbled in.
