Robert Bachmann, age 70, of Crystal Lake, Iowa died on Friday, April 12, 2013 at his home. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 pm Thursday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona, with a Masonic service at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson, Iowa.

Robert Lee Bachmann, the son of Lawrence and Gertrude Arlene (Harmon) Bachmann, was born on April 19, 1942 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He graduated from Perkins County High School in Grant, Nebraska in 1960. Robert received his business degree from Mankato State University on December 3, 1976. He served in the United States Navy from 1961-64.

Robert was married to Diana Marie Gonzalez in 1964 in Omaha, NE. They were divorced in 1988. On August 22, 1990 he was united in marriage with Diana Koehler in Show Low, Arizona. They moved to Algona in 1993 and then to Crystal Lake. Robert had worked as the general manager at North Iowa Finance Company in Algona and later at Winnebago Industries. He was a member of the Masons and Shriners. Robert enjoyed fishing.

Left to cherish Robert’s memory is his son, Robert (Karla) Bachmann, Jr. of Cottage Grove, MN; three grandchildren, Nathanial, Nicholas and Autumn; a brother, Larry (Bev) Bachmann of Mesa, AZ; and a sister, Carolyn (Ron) Wiese of Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Diana Bachmann in 2008; and his second wife Diana Bachmann in 2004.
