Rev. George W. Peck, eight years pastor of the Winterset Baptist church died at the home of his son near Eldon, Missouri. The funeral will be held Thursday. The telegram to miss June Lee announcing his death was read with great sorrow by his old church members.
Dr. Peck was pastor of the church four or five years. He was one of the most popular pastors the city ever had, and during his pastorate the church grew wonderfully. The present church was built while he was here.
He fell and was hurt some time ago and it is supposed that his death was caused by injuries then received. A beautiful floral tribute was sent to Eldon by his old friends here.
