Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson, and Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Anderson attended the funeral services of their uncle, James M. Anderson last Sunday at 2 P. M. Hon. J. M. Anderson died in California last February and was brought to Indianola for burial.
At one time he lived in St. Charles and ran a harness shop, and later a farm. Then in 1886, he and his brother, Tom Anderson, bought the Indianola Herald which they owned and operated for several years. Mr. Anderson was elected to the legislature while living in Warren County and was the author of the first progressive road law.
