Glee Anderson

Glee Anderson, 95, of Exira, formerly of Peru, passed away on July 26, 2020 at the Exira Care Center.

Glee was born on December 18, 1924 to John and Johanna Brown in Atlantic, Iowa. She attended Atlantic Schools before moving to and graduating from Peru High School. Glee married Russell Anderson in Colorado Springs, Colorado and they were together for almost 50 years.

Glee enjoyed being outdoors as much as possible. She loved flowers and had them planted all over her yard. She also kept a large and vibrant vegetable garden. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading a good book or two. She and her husband Russell liked to go out every Saturday night to go dancing. Together they enjoyed dancing the Two-Step to some good country western music.

Glee is survived by her daughter, Laurel (JB) Butler of Atlantic; brother, Mark (Sandy) Brown of Warsaw, MO; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Anderson; brother, Jess Brown; sisters, June Weeks, and Hazel Reed; and one great great grandchild.

At this time, a private burial will take place in the Ebenezer Cemetery. A public memorial service will be announced at a later date

Memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Glee.
