In 1877 she was married to George Gresham then living two and one-half miles East of Booneville and to this union two children were born, Charles E. who died when a boy and William P. who survives her, living three and one-half miles south of Booneville.
In 1908 she was again left a widow by the death of her husband.
She was converted when a young girl and united with the M. E. church and remained a member of that church during the remainder of her life. She was an earnest Christian soul, beloved by all who knew her and besides her children, she leaves many other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
Last November she went to Minneapolis, Minnesota to visit with her daughters and took sick on November 28th at the home of her elder daughter, Mrs. Adams, where she peacefully died on April 3rd. Her last hours were peaceful and without a struggle she fell asleep in Jesus at the age of 80 years, 3 months and 14 days.
Fitting funeral services were conducted in the M. E. church at Booneville by Rev. J. P. Newell of Indianola, Iowa, and she was laid to rest in the Booneville Cemetery there to await the call of the great Lifegiver.
