Mary Emma Harrison was born in Madison County, Iowa June 22, 1864 where she grew to womanhood and where the greater part of her years were spent. A number of years were devoted to teaching school.
February 13, 1913, her marriage to E. A. Young was solemnized in Chicago, Illinois.
She passed away from her late residence near Macksburg March 19, 1920. Besides her husband, leaves one brother, Guy Harrison, seven nephews and seven nieces.
The funeral services were held from the residence Monday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Carl Brown of Lorimor and interment made in the Moon cemetery.
________________________Transcriber's note: Transcribed as published, her gravestone says she was born in 1870 and died in 1919. All census data supports a birth year of 1869.
