Joseph H. Walkup, Jr., youngest son of Joseph H. and Lou Sarah Walkup, was born at St. Charles, Iowa August 5, 1870, and died at his home in Los Angeles, California, February 18, 1920.
He spent his boyhood and early manhood in St. Charles, Iowa, afterwards moving with his mother to Omaha, Nebraska, where he lived until 1917, when he came to Los Angeles, where he has since resided. – Los Angeles Times
