COUNTY NEWS - Peru

Rev. L. B. Shannon of Tingley, formerly pastor of the Methodist church here, died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines Thursday morning after having suffered a paralytic stroke.

The funeral was held in Des Moines Saturday and burial was at Glendale cemetery.

Those from Peru who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Marion Carter, Mr. and Mrs. George Simmons and Mrs. Virgil Kelly. The friends in this vicinity extend sympathy to the bereaved ones.
