Mrs. Nellie DeYoung, 81, former Ware resident, died Tuesday morning, March 2, 1976 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Albert City. Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Albert City with burial in Washington Cemetery at Havelock.
Mrs. DeYoung is survived by a son, Howard of Laurens; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Marsceau of Spencer; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Alfred Cosand of Garden Grove, Calif.
Nellie Cosand was born June 15, 1894 at Carlisle, Iowa. She married George DeYoung on April 26, 1919 at Peru, Iowa. They farmed near Ware until 1971 when she entered Pleasant View. Mr. DeYoung died in 1971.
