George DeYoung

George DeYoung, 29, Laurens, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1971 at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Albert City after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 22, at Evangelical Free Church in Albert City with burial in Washington Cemetery, Havelock.

Casket bearers were John Cejka, Robert Cejka, Cecil Schossow, Oliver Leith, Dale Lindstrom and Walter Woodin.

George DeYoung was born August 12, 1892 at Goodland, Ind. and came to the Ware community at the age of 12 years. He was married to Nellie Cosand at Peru, Iowa on April 26, 1919. They were engaged in farming in the Ware vicinity.

Survivors include the widow Nellie; a son, Howard DeYoung of Laurens. A daughter, Mrs. Harold Marsceau of Spencer; seven grandchildren; a brother, Harry DeYoung of Havelock and a sister, Mrs. Dora Coon of Indianapolis, Ind.
