Abigail Nicole Ashby

Abigail Nicole Ashby, 23, of Indianola tragically passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 following a car accident on Hwy 92.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2020, at the Foursquare Gospel Church in Winterset with a memorial service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. There will be a lunch after the service at the Winterset City Park. The family and church ask that anyone in attendance to please follow social distancing guidelines. Burial will be at a later date in the Peru Cemetery.

Abigail was born on September 27, 1996, the daughter of Janel (Cain) Karas and Eric Ashby. She was a very fun-loving and happy little girl! She graduated from Winterset High School in 2015 and attended Aveda Institute where she learned how to expertly color hair, something she loved to do! Most recently she worked as an assistant cook and part time hairdresser to the residents at Edencrest in Norwalk.

She was a dedicated and loving mom to her two sons, Jayden and Keenan.

Abby was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mike Cain and her older sister, Olivia Ashby. We know she is in Heaven with them both!

She is survived by her two sons, Jayden Vance (8) and Keenan Kyle (3); her mother, Janel Karas (beloved step-father, Tim Karas) and her father, Eric Ashby; maternal grandmother, Shaun Cain and paternal grandparents, Mike and Sharon Ashby; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
