Coordinator's note: Transcribed as published, per a family member, this obituary has the following errors - the marriage to Doris Travis took place in 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa and sister Gladys Beard should be "Gladys (Beard) Kohler". Per census records and his father's obituary, the deceased lived in Madison County from 1915 to 1919, returned to Illinois, but then came back to Madison County and was in the 1925 and 1930 censuses. By 1940, he was back in Illinois.
