Former Winterset Citizen Dies From Goitre. Lived Here Many Years.
Arratus Stiffler, former citizen of Winterset, died at his home in Salem, Oregon, January 25 of goitre. He was 56 years old.
He was the third son of Abram Stiffler. He was born in Winterset and received his education in the Winterset schools. After his father and mother moved to Salem he lived in Des Moines for a year or two, finally going to Salem.
He is survived by his wife and three sons. His three brothers and his sister, Mrs. Larson, all live in Salem. His father, Abram Stiffler, died ten or twelve years ago. His mother, Mrs. Mary Stiffler, well know to old residents of Winterset, died in Salem last year.
