ELMER BENNETT DIES IN DES MOINES HOME

Former Winterset Man Succumbs After Lingering Illness – Survived by Widow and Four Children

Elmer Bennett, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Derrick Bennett, old time residents of Winterset died at his home in Des Moines Tuesday after an illness of four years.

Mr. Bennett was born and grew to manhood in Winterset. When Mr. and Mrs. Bennett moved to Des Moines Elmer went to Humbolt and afterward to Des Moines where he has lived since 1903.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a. m. He is survived by a wife and four children, Derrick, John, Arthur and Leila Jane, and a sister, Leila Bennett.
