Mrs. Goodale Dead

Mrs. Goodale, of Lamar Colorado, wife of Charles Goodale former Madison county auditor, editor and attorney died January 9. The Goodales who were prominent in Madison's affairs went with the Winterset colony to Lamar in 1887. Mr. Goodale died in 1925.

Two Former Residents Die at Lamar, Colorado

Mrs. Sarah J. Goodale, widow of the late C.C. Goodale, and Mrs. Clara Deeter, wife of Judge A. Deeter, both passed away recently at their homes in Larmar, Colorado. Mrs. Goodale died on the 9th at the age of 78 and Mrs. Deeter followed her two days later.

Both families were prominent in the affairs of Madison county in the early days and both removed to Colorado about 40 years ago. Mrs. Goodale was married here in 1879 and leaves four children. Mrs. Deeter, whose former name was Miss Clara Swadley, never resided here, but married Judge Deeter in recent years.
