Former Winterset Woman Passes Away from Stroke at Her Home Near Hubbell, Nebraska.
Mrs. Laura Goshorn Hudson died Monday morning at her farm home near Hubbell, Nebraska, from a stroke of apoplexy. Death came in a few minutes. The burial was at Hubbell.
Mrs. Hudson was a sister of Arthur Goshorn, and was born in Winterset and grew to womanhood here. She had graduated from the Winterset high school and was preparing to enter the university when her mother took ill and for three years and until her death she was her constant attendant. Her whole life was one of self-denial and sacrifice for others.
In 1890 she went to the farm near Hubbell and has lived there ever since. She was the mother of five children, all grown, four of them yet at home working with her and farming the land she owned. Mrs. Hudson will be remembered by all the older residents of Winterset.
