R. A. Pilmer

R. A. Pilmer, an old time resident of Winterset, died at the home of his son, George Pilmer, Saturday morning, April 28th, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Mr. Pilmer, with his wife, had been engaged in the south the past two years in missionary work. One year was spent in Tennessee and one year at Hilltop Ark.

Mr. Pilmer leaves to mourn him his wife, two sons, John Miller of Des Moines and Geo. W. of Winterset.

Funeral services were conducted at the United Presbyterian church at 9:45 Monday morning by Rev. S. J. Malone. Interment was made near Indianola with Rev. Thompson of the First United Presbyterian church of Des Moines officiating.

Death of R. A. Pilmer

After long suffering because of cancer of the stomach, R. A. Pilmer died at the home of his son, George Pilmer on April 28.

Funeral services were held in the Winterset United Presbyterian church on Monday, conducted by Rev. S. J. Malone. Burial took place at Scotch Grove, north of Summerset Junction, where Mr. Pilmer’s family had lived in former years.

Mrs. Pilmer and two sons survive Mr. Pilmer, George of Winterset and Miller of Des Moines.
