Death of Mrs. W. R. Pilmer – (St. Charles, Special)

Mrs. W. R. Pilmer passed away at her home here early Sunday morning after an illness of about two weeks, although she had been in poor health for several years, caused by being injured in an automobile accident. For the past seven years, she and her husband had lived in the home of her sister, Mrs. Laura Young.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, George of near Winterset and Miller of Des Moines, and six grandchildren. She also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Laura Young of St. Charles, Mrs. Eva Dyer, Mrs. Lelia McCulley and Mrs. Luella Tidball all of Indianola and two brothers, Irwin Weede of Long Beach, Cal., and J. B. Weede of Des Moines, and many nephews and nieces and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church with Rev. Carnahan in charge and burial in the family lot in the Scotch Ridge cemetery north of Indianola.

St. Charles

Mrs. Mary J, Pilmer died February 27, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Laura M. Roung (sic) where she and husband have been living for several years.

Funeral services were held in the United Presbyterian church here conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. E. Carnahan, last Tuesday the first day of March with burial in the Scotch Ridge cemetery north of Indianola.

She is survived by her husband, William Pilmer, and two sons, George of near Winterset and Miller of Des Moines. Also two brothers Irwin Weede of Long Beach, California, and J. Browne Weede of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Young of St. Charles. Mrs. Eva Dyer, Mrs. Luella Tidhall, and Mrs. Leila McCully of Indianola.
