L. W. Fisher

L. W. Fisher, lifelong resident of Madison county, died December 13 at Pharr, Texas, after a short illness. Mr. Fisher had lived in Van Meter since 1889. His marriage to Miss Lizzie Brooker occurred in 1887. His widow and three children, Lloyd Fisher, of Van Meter, Paul Fisher, of Des Moines and Mrs. Geneva Hulse, of Van Meter survive.

Several years Mr. and Mrs. Fisher have spent part of the winters in the south. They left Van Meter December 8, his death being caused from a stroke of paralysis which occurred December 17.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 26 at the Van Meter Methodist church, with the Rev. W. L. Camn--- in charge. Burial was in the Van Meter cemetery.
