Death of F. G. Mennealy

F. G. Mennealy, forty-six year old Monroe township farmer, died last Thursday afternoon in the Winterset hospital after a lingering illness of several year’s duration.

Mr. Mennealy and his family moved to Madison county from Walnut in 1915. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Bertha and Marie.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Tidrick funeral home by the rev. A. R. Weed and the body taken to Grant for burial.

F. G. Mennealy

Fred Garfield Mennealy, son, of James and Kate Mennealy, was born at Walnut, Iowa, August 11, 1881. He lived in or near Walnut during his earlier years, most of the time on the farm.

He was married to Lilly Sprague November 20, 1905, and to this union were born three children, Bertha and Marie at home, and one child which died in infancy. The family moved to Madison county in 1915 where they have since made their home.

Mr. Mennealy had been in poor health the past several years, and (missing line) tal September 29, 1927. He leaves besides his wife, three children, four brothers and three sisters, and many friends.

The Rev. A. R. Weed conducted the services at the Tidrick funeral home Saturday afternoon, and the interment was made the next day in the cemetery at Grant, Iowa.
