Heart Attacks Take Lives of Pair Here in Two-Hour Period

A 64-year-old man died early Friday on the sidewalk of a downtown street and a 52-year-old man died in bed at his home less than two hours later.

Both men were victims of coronary attacks, Dr. Thomas L. Coriden, coroner, said.

John Hudson, 411 Market street. died in the 500 block in Fifth street shortly after telling a fellow employe at the Dixie Wiener and Hamburger shop, 431 Pierce street, that he was going outside and get some air.

A bartender in a Fifth street tavern saw him lying on the sidewalk a short time later and called police. When aid reached him, he was dead. Mr. Hudson had worked at the hamburger shop for the last week as a dishwasher and earlier had been a janitor in a rooming house at 520 W. Fifth street.

Mr. Hudson was born October 27, 1888, in Winterset, la. He had resided here for 25 years.

The body was taken to the Manning-O'Toole funeral home.
