Donnis D. Oxley, 61, of Menlo died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Center United Methodist Church in Menlo, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset.

Mr. Oxley was born in Sharpsburg and had lived in Greenfield, Creston, Macksburg and Kent before moving to Menlo in 1973. He had been a truck driver with Terminal Transport Co. of St. Paul, Minn., and a sales representative with Farm Services Cooperative. He enjoyed baseball, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by five sons, Michael of Des Moines, Randall of Swisher, Donald of Briggsdale, Colo., Dale of Adair and Neal of Perry; two daughters, Deborah Wenger of Mariposa, Calif., and Angela Wood of Menlo; his mother, Marie Oxley, and a brother, Jerry, both of Greenfield; a sister, Beverly White of Creston; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Ruppert Funeral Home in Stuart, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
