Jack N. Weideman, 76, of the 2700 block of Forest Drive died of cancer Wednesday at Fleur Heights Care Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dunn's Funeral Home. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Earlham Cemetery in Earlham.

Mr. Weideman was born in Manning and had lived in Des Moines for more than 30 years. He had been a teacher, had owned a bowling alley in Sac City and was a salesman with Rand McNally before retiring. He was an Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed golfing.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; and a brother, D.C. of Vinton.
