MILO C. NEWLON DIES IN ARIZONA

News of the death of Milo C. Newlon, at Tempe, Arizona, at eleven o’clock Tuesday morning, was received Wednesday by his mother, Mrs. Lydia Newlon. Mr. Newlon, who had recently sold his business at Compton, California, was on his way to Tucson and expected to locate in Arizona, where he would have been benefitted by the milder climate; he had been in poor health several years.

Mr. Newlon was born in Winterset in 1872. He was clerk in the Winterset post office during the term of W. R. Shriver and later went to the McMillan clothing store. He left Winterset to go to Great Falls, Montana, where other relatives lived and the past few years had made his home in California.

He leaves his widow, a son nine years old and a daughter four. Other relatives who live in the county are his sisters, Mrs. Phil Wilkinson and Mrs. Mary Green of Winterset; Mrs. Will Shambaugh, of Jefferson township, and a brother, Frank Newlon, of Lincoln township.
