Page 15, Column 1G.I.G. Shambaugh, 88, of 6500 Hickman Road died of cancer Thursday at Hospice Kavanagh House. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, and burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Masonic Cemetery.
Dr. Shambaugh, a Booneville native, had been a dental surgeon since 1945 and retired in 1987 from private practice. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Uptown Lions Club, American Dental Association, the Presbyterian Church, Rhinhart chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine Legion of Honor and American Legion White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Surviving are a daughter, Gorda Walker of Windsor Heights; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
