Earlham—A service for Mary C. Lowden, 87, of Earlham was held Dec. 13, 1983 at the Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter with burial in Van Meter Cemetery. Mrs. Lowden died Dec. 10.

She was born at Bridgewater and had lived in Van Meter for 30 years before moving to Earlham in 1981. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Allegra Shediwy of DeSoto; two sons, Jesse of Des Moines and D. L. of Omaha, Neb., four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
