MORTUARY

Mrs. Grace Bridenstine

After weeks of separate and brave battling to overcome sickness, then gradually losing in the fight, Mrs. H. S. Bridenstine passed to the other world Thursday morning, Nov. 20th at an early hour. Grace Springmire was born at Tiffin, Iowa March 24, 1883.

While at school at Kirksville,Mo., in 1901, she united with the Christian church. Later she transferred her membership to the Methodist Episcopal church at West Star and in 1921 united by certificate with the Methodist Episcopal church of Winterset.

On June 7, 1905 she was united in marriage with Harvey S. Bridenstine of North liberty, Iowa, who preceded her in death May 21, 1920. Four children were born to this union: Reese, Ruth, John R., and Harvey Ray, who with Mrs. Bridenstine’s sister, Dr. Fannie S. Parks, and her seven brothers and numerous friends are deeply bereaved with her departure.

The funeral services were held at the home of Dr. Parks Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton, pastor of the Methodist church, and Rev. Allen, pastor of the United Presbyterian church. The body was taken to North liberty on Saturday, where the concluding services were held and the interment made by the side of her husband.
