William Kelso, veteran of the Civil War, who belonged to an old-time Winterset family, died Sunday at his home in Mitchell, South Dakota. The funeral was held in Mitchell Wednesday.
Mr. Kelso has been an invalid for years. He was a brother of H. C. Kelso who died here last year. He grew to manhood in Winterset enlisting in the Civil War in a Madison county regiment. He moved to northern Iowa in the seventies and later went to Mitchell where he has lived ever since.
