Adel—A funeral for Mabel Forret, 88, of Adel will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept 20, 1985 at Fisher Funeral Home here. Mrs. Forret died of Alzheimer’s disease at Adel Acres Care Center on Sept. 18.

Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.

Born May 17, 1897 at Winterset, she was the daughter of Frank and Anna Clearwater. She married Matthew James Forret on June 26, 1917 in Dallas County. She lived most of her life on a farm south of Waukee and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Thompson and Wanda Forret, both of Adel; two sisters, Corbel Jones of Marshalltown and Thelma Brooken of Pollock Pines, Calif.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
