Fred O. Wilkie, a widely known resident of Dallas County, passed away Saturday at Excelsior Springs, Missouri. He was 76 years old at the time of his death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Adel Christian Church. Rev. Ray Barnett officiated. Casket bearers were Roland Conrad, Fred Victora, Harry Chestnutwood, Dick Jeffrey, Forest Hibbs and Verne Wilkie. Soloist was Robert G. Fisher, accompanied by Jean Smith. Mrs. Charles Eakle assisted with the flowers.
Mr. Wilkie was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, and one son, Henry. He is survived by two sons, George, of Menlo, and James, of Earlham. Also five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Transcriber’s note: Burial was made in the Earlham Cemetery.
