Woodrow F. Duff, 80, of 3940 Second Ave. died of a respiratory ailment Saturday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Basilica of St. John, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery.

Mr. Duff was born in Bevington and had lived in the Des Moines area most of his life. He was a retired shop foreman with Pitt-Des Moines Inc., an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of AmVets.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara; a daughter, Sandra Nellis of Houston; two sons, Joseph of Des Moines and Steven of Swansea, III.; a brother, Ralph of Windsor Heights; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Westover Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
