Leona was born May 10, 1918, to George and Mary Jane (Susie) Greene Cutshall at Van Meter, Iowa. She attended the Van Meter Community School.
She was married to Byron E. Rogers December 24, 1938. Following his death she was united in marriage to Clarence E. Smith November 17, 1949 at Creston, Iowa. They made their home at Linden where she attended the Shiloh Church.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, her parents and one infant son.
Surviving are her husband, Clarence, one son, Dwayne E. Rogers of Wilton, Iowa; three daughters, Marcia L. Devilbiss and Martha L. Reed both of Linden, and Grace S. Devilbiss of Des Moines. Also surviving are a brother, Clarence Cutshall of Montezuma, Iowa, sister Bernice Gruber of Davenport, Iowa, step-son, Terry L. Smith, eight grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
Services were Tuesday, June 8, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. from Chamberlain-Fisher Funeral Home, Adel with Rev. Paul I. Nelson officiating. Interment was at Chapel Cemetery.
