Mary E. Stalcup, 90, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at her home.

A visitation will be held 1 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 15 at Ochiltree Funeral Service and Aftercare in Winterset, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 16 at Ochiltrees, with burial in the Lorimor Cemetery, Lorimor.

Mary Stalcup, Winterset

Mary E. Stalcup, 90, of Winterset, died June 9, 2007, at home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery.

Mary Stalcup was born Jan. 9, 1917, in Truro to Chester and Etta (Miller) Boughton and was a graduate of Lorimor High School. Her marriage to Harold Dean Stalcup took place June 30, 1937, and was broadcast on the radio in Shenandoah. Throughout her life, Mary resided in Lorimor. In 1998 she moved to Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Gary Stalcup; two sisters, Naomi Craig and Elda Olson; two brothers, Elias Boughton and Loren "Hank" Boughton; and six grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Foreman of Winterset; two sons, Robert Stalcup of Kirkland, Ariz., and Donald Stalcup of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Leona Hurt of Ankeny and formerly of Murray; and nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
