Joseph Leroy Boatwright, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vol Boatwright, was born January 23d, 1908, on a farm near Patterson, and died May 11, 1926, aged 18 years, 3 months and 19 days.
He attended grade school in Des Moines and attended the high school at Patterson. During his illness he was cared for at the Congregational hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at the Selover & Hamilton funeral home. Burial at the Powers cemetery in Des Moines.
