MILITARY RITES FOR DALE MULLINS

Military funeral services for Dale Wilson Mullins were held last Saturday afternoon from the Wilson Funeral Home in Winterset.

Mr. Mullins died June 19 at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was 75 years of age.

A son of Delbert and Susan Smithson Mullins, he was born Feb. 25, 1893 at Waukee, Iowa. On May 23, 1920, he was married to Martha Jane Packard. They lived in Dallas county for a few years, moving to Madison county in 1928. Mr. Mullins farmed for a number of years near Zion church in Scott township.

He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of foreign Wars and World War I Veterans organization.

He is survived by wife, one daughter, Mrs. James (Betty Sue) Fisher of San Francisco, Calif., one grandchild, three sisters, Mabel Mullins of Adel, Mrs. Garnett Switzer of Van Meter, and Mrs. Hazel Collier of Des Moines; and two brothers, Gerald W. Mullins of Earlham and Russell Mullins of Los Angeles, Calif.

Officiating at the service last Saturday was Harold C. Jackson and Jack Dingman.

Rites Held for Dale Mullins, 75

Funeral services for Dale W. Mullins, 75, of Winterset were held Saturday, June 22, at 2 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home in Winterset.

Full military service and grave rites were conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Interment was in the Otterman Cemetery southeast of Adel.

Mr. Mullins passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Wednesday, June 19. He was the brother of Miss Mabel Mullins of Adel, Mrs. Garnet Switzer of Van Meter and the late Earl Mullins of Adel. He also leaves to mourn their loss, his wife, Martha of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. James Fisher and granddaughter, Stephanie of San Francisco; two brothers, Gerald of Earlham and Russell of Los Angeles and a sister, Mrs. Leo (Hazel) Collier of Des Moines.
