Mr. Art Jensen, 65, south of Van Meter, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, March 19, while setting out a tree at the premises of a relative in Van Meter. He is a brother of Herman of DeSoto and Julius of near DeSoto.

A service was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Fisher Funeral Home in Van Meter after which funeral services were held at 2 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran Church conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. G. Meyer. Interment was in that cemetery.

Mr. Jensen is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Jensen; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Prohaska, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Alma Duffy, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Martha Frutig, Cedar Rapids. A brother, Bill, passed away several years ago.

The surviving relatives mentioned were all present at the rites, also the following more distant relatives: Mrs. Mabel Jensen and her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Jensen and her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thompson, all from West Liberty, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Cade, Mr. and Mrs. John Jensen, Mrs. Russell Bennett, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Harold French, Van Meter; Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Bell, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jensen, Winterset.
