Betty Lemon, 86, of Osceola died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at EveryStep Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. A Celebration of Life Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at Four Square Gospel Church 224 E. Court Ave. in Winterset, with Pastor Dwayne Henrichs officiating. Memorials can be given to the family.

Betty Lou Lemon, daughter of Everett Lee Brobst and Mable Marie (Wright) Brobst was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Winterset. Betty was educated in Buffalo Country School in rural Winterset. On July 30, 1952, Betty was united in marriage to William Lee Lemon in Winterset. They settled in Winterset, where Betty worked as a homemaker and a housekeeper. They later moved to Norwoodville, Iowa. where she continued to clean homes and be an active homemaker and mother, followed by moving to Truro, where she helped out on the farm and also as they moved to the Creston area before moving to the Thayer area. Betty finally moved to Osceola in 2015 to be near family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Lee Wayne Lemon; six brothers, Albert, Alfred, Walter, Evert, Ebenezer and Arthur; and seven sisters, Pauline, Josephine, Bonnie, Mary, Cecilia, Patricia and Violet.

She is survived by her husband, William of Osceola; three sons, William (Hidie) Lemon of Macksburg, Dale Lemon of Sigourney and Paul Lemon of Osceola; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
