Edwin A. Armstrong, son of Mrs. Iva Reigle of Van Meter, was buried in the Van Meter (cem)etery Aug. 15, following funeral services conducted from the Fisher funeral home in that community. Mr. Armstrong had been killed Aug. 12 in an automobile accident at Valley, Nebr. He was 40 years of age.
He was born in Madison county, Aug 20, 1917, a son of Mrs. Reigle and the late Earl E. Armstrong. His father died when he was 11 years of age. He was married Dec. 1, 1938, to Lois Roberts of Winterset.
He followed the welding trade and worked for several years at Clinton, and one year in Arizona. Since 1947, he had been employed at the Valley Manufacturing company in Valley, Nebr.
Surviving are his wife; an 8-year-old son, Earl; and his mother.
