Last Rites Thursday For Charlie Murphy

Funeral services for Charlie Murphy, 80, were held Thursday afternoon from the Bufkin Funeral Home. He passed away Monday, Dec. 18 in the hospital at Winterset following a ten day hospitalization.

Mr. Murphy had, during the 1940's, lived for several years in the Dexter community. For the past four years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Jim Rudolf [Rudolph].

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rudolph of Redfield, Mrs. Donald Sherwood and Mrs. Vernon McMichael both of Denver, Colo., and two sons, Boyd Murphy of Des Moines and Rex Murphy of Menlo, also one brother, Fred Murphy of Greenfield.

Interment was in the cemetery at Dexter.
