Obituary – Mrs. J. F. Crow

Isabelle Duvall was born in Washington county, Pennsylvania, April 8, 1842 and died of pneumonia, at her home in Webster township, February 2, 1911.

December, 1862, she was married to Jacob F. Crow. To this union were born seven children, all of whom survive. In 1880 they came to Madison county, Iowa, where they spent the remainder of their lives.

Mrs. Crow was converted when but a girl, but did not become affiliated with any church until 1891, when she, with her husband, became members of the M. E. church at Middle River. During her life among the people of Madison county, she has always shown herself a loving, sympathizing friend and neighbor, meriting and gaining the affection of everyone with whom she came in contact. She leaves behind a host of friends, who will not soon forget her gentle influence.

Funeral services were conducted in the M. E. church at Middle River, by the rev J. E. Clearwater, on Feb. 3, 1911, and interment made in the Roberts cemetery.
