Jeff passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2020. He was born November 5, 1966 in Des Moines to Ed and Jo Ann Peterson. Later Jeff made his home with foster parents Marion and Berneita Patience and family near Earlham, Iowa.

Jeff attended Special Education classes in Winterset and Waukee schools. He later lived in Des Moines under the care of Behavioral Technologies.

He loved his radio and always had it near. He liked listening to sports broadcasts especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs.

Survivors include Ed and Jo Ann Peterson, Mark (Sandra) Peterson, Berneita, Ruth, Rita and Lance Patience and extended families.

Jeff was preceded in death by Marion Patience and his grandparents.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Behavioral Technologies for their excellent and loving care of Jeff through the years.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 20, 2020 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family to distribute amongst numerous charities in memory of Jeff.
