Frank Callahan Services Set

Services for Frank Callahan, 78, of 1606 Twenty-first st., who died of a stroke Saturday at Broadlawns Polk County after a three weeks illness, will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church. The place of burial has not been determined.

Born in Kansas City, Mo., Mr. Callahan lived 10 years in Norwalk before moving here 42 years ago. He had been a custodian in Des Moines public schools 11 years, working at Nash School before retiring in 1955.

The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight at the Hamilton Funeral Home.

Surviving are a son, Richard, and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Jeffries, both of Des Moines, and four grandchildren.

Coordinator's note: The Callahans lived in Crawford Township in 1914 where son Richard was born per his Madison County Birth Record and were still there in the 1920 Federal Census.
